Resort Amenities
The fantastic and varied amenities are principal
reasons owners and guests choose the Coosawattee River Resort. Throughout the
property, abundant amenities are easily accessible, ranging from indoor and
outdoor swimming pools, camp sites, river parks, exercise & weight room, game
rooms, miniature golf, horseshoe pits, tennis courts, and basketball courts.

The Recreation Center
The Recreation
Center is the jewel of the Coosawattee River Resort which includes:
- A Junior Olympic-sized pool with 8-feet at the deep end and a large
shallow end for the small ones is heated and enclosed for comfortable swimming
year round. The pool utilizes a state-of-the-art saline chlorination system.. The water, as a result, is much easier on eyes, skin, hair,
and clothing while still protecting against germs, bacteria and algae.
- A heated kiddie pool is available for the very little ones where they can splash
& play in shallow water.
- Off of the Recreation Center's lobby are the Fitness Center and Game Room.
The Fitness Center is complete with treadmills, weight
machines, free weights, rowing machine, and exercise bikes. Satellite TV is
available with a VCR. The Game Room is a coin-operated arcade with games,
pool tables, ping pong table, and an air hockey machine.
- The Recreation Center also has other outside attractions, which include tennis
courts, 18-hole miniature golf course, and
a basketball court. The equipment can be check-out at the Recreation Center
desk.
- For those desiring a more sedate entertainment, the center also has a wide-screen television available in the lobby along with WiFi capabilities.
- A covered pavilion at the Recreation Center can be reserved for
birthday parties.
Water Tower Conference Center
This facility, located on one of the highest peaks inside the
property, has some of the most breath-taking views available in the community.
The dining area overlooks the spectacular mountain tops, which makes it a
favorite for weddings, receptions, showers, parties, reunions and gatherings for
ten to one hundred. The Water Tower is available to rent for owners and guests.
Teen Center
The Teen Center features a beautiful outdoor pool. The
pool is three to five feet deep throughout. While it carries the name of “Teen
Center”, don’t be fooled; it really is more family friendly with kids from one
to one hundred enjoying the sun and fun. A kiddie pool is also available
for toddlers and babies. Soda and vending machines are stocked for a quick snack and convenience. Picnic tables are a
perfect spot for pool-side dining. Indian Fish Trap Park is only a short walk across the Coosawattee River over the swinging suspension bridge.
Pool II
Pool II is the smallest and quietest of the pools with a
10-foot deep end. Pool II also has a picnic area and a pavilion, as well as a
changing area and restroom. This spot is a quiet and peaceful place to relax.
The Coosawattee Library
Books
are available for everyone, as well videos and cassette tapes. A
children’s section is also contained in the library. The library operates on the
honor system and is open when the POA office is open. Take a break from your
busy day-- stop by, pick out a book, read in the library, or take it with you
for a few days and return it for the next person.
